PLEASE NOTE:

On July 1, 2026 Connecticut passed a law allowing no-excuse absentee voting, meaning any voter can request a mail ballot without needing to provide a reason. 

You can request your absentee ballot NOW one of three ways:

1. Download online at the Secretary of the State’s website: https://portal.ct.gov/sots/election-services/voter-information/2026-absentee-voting---updates-and-information

2. Apply online through the Office of the Secretary of the State’s absentee ballot request portal: https://oabr-sots.ct.gov/OABR/absenteeBallotReqPortalHome.do

3. Visit the Madison Town Hall to pick up in person. 

Remember only registered Democrats can vote in the Democrat Primary on August 11, 2026.

One of the most important ways to participate in a democracy is by voting, and we believe that every vote counts. If you are not already registered to vote in the town of Madison, you are able to register online at the State of Connecticut’s Online Voter Registration System.

Polling Locations (Important Update for 2026)

District 1: The 2026 Temporary Polling Place for District 1 is the Madison Senior Center, 29 Bradley Road. All registered voters who live at properties on the even numbered side of Green Hill Road and South (note: The District 1 polling place will revert back to Polson Middle School in 2027).
District 2: Brown Elementary School, 980 Durham Road. All registered voters who live at properties on the odd numbered side of Green Hill Road and North.
